Laurel Canyon Pier Bookcase | Staggered Shelves – Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse

Description

Shelving does not have to march in straight lines. The Laurel Canyon pier staggers its shelves left and right up the frame, which turns an ordinary stack of books, plants and photographs into something closer to a piece of sculpture.

Legends crafts it from oak solids and veneers, tall and narrow enough to slip into the leftover space beside a fireplace console, a doorway, or a window. Use one on its own as an accent, or flank a Laurel Canyon console with a matching pair for a built-in look without the carpentry bill. The open sides keep it from feeling heavy in a small room, and the asymmetrical layout suits a modern or urban space. Anchor it to the wall like any tall case piece, and leave clearance to reach the top shelf.
