Sitting in the Lucas is like getting a bear hug. Overstuffed cushions wrap you on every side, the pillow arms are thick enough to actually rest on, and the full-coverage chaise footrest supports your legs all the way down instead of leaving a gap at the knees. This one rides on a rocker base, so it soothes even when it is not reclined.

Best Home Furnishings builds it with Best-Max construction: kiln-dried hardwood frame parts, reinforced joints, a higher-density 2.5-pound seat foam that resists breakdown, and six no-sag seat springs placed where you actually sit. An outside handle releases the recline. A zipper in the chaise lets you adjust the pillow fiber over time. Covered in rich chocolate brown fabric, it belongs in a family room where someone will fall asleep in it, and it matches the Lucas reclining sofa and loveseat.
