A dining chair earns its keep three times a day. The Ridgester side chair does it with a softly shaped ladderback silhouette in a matte black finish and a padded seat wrapped in beige plaid, a combination that sharpens a wood table without making the room feel formal.

Underneath, the frame is solid hardwood with LVL components, and the foam seat sits on a webbed foundation for real give instead of a hard plank. The cover is Next-Gen Nuvella performance fabric, which is stain resistant and cleans with mild soap and water, so spills at breakfast are not a crisis. Pair it with the Ridgester round pedestal table or use it to add contrast to a lighter dining set. Suits a modern farmhouse dining room or an open-plan kitchen where the chairs are always in view.
